Pricing Policy

It is our personal aim to keep the prices as low as possible without compromising quality. Prices current as of (Many unchanged since 1 September 2000 although prices are subject to change without notice).

If you order multiple copies of the same identical item, then discounts can be applied. The percentage discount is the same for retail items as it is for trade purchases.

Here is the current schedule:

  • Orders of the same item – between 500 and 1000 copies – Free freight plus deduct 10% off the scheduled price
  • Orders of the same item – between 1001 and 2000 copies – Free freight plus deduct 15% off the scheduled price
  • Orders of the same item – more than 2001 copies – Free freight plus deduct 20% off the scheduled price

    To obtain your discount, email us and request an adjusted invoice.

    A Secure and Trusted Online Service Payment for many items can be made by Credit Card via our secure PayPal® server. (if you don't see a PayPal® link or if you have a part-payment owing, simply request an interactive PayPal® invoice via email). Note: For orders or payments from countries other than Australia, this is our PREFERRED payment method!

    By following these instructions, you will be able to pay for your order right from your checking account. That means you will not have to write a physical check for your order!
    Please note: When you send money via eCheck, PayPal debits your bank account for the funds. The recipient of the payment will see your order status as "Unclaimed" for 3-4 business days, while the funds clear your bank (we will then ship the order).

  • Step #1: We will assume that you already have a PayPal account. If not, you will need to sign up right now. Log on to your PayPal and click on the "Send Money" button.
  • Step #2: Fill out the Send Money screen with this information: ‡ Your Email Address: (Add your email address here) ‡ Amount: (Put the amount of your order here) ‡ Type Of Transaction: (Select Goods - Non-Auction) ‡ Subject: (please put your order number) ‡ Notes: (Please put your order number and any message here)
  • Step #3: At this point you will have a choice to pay with your PayPal account or to pay with an eCheck. You would select "eCheck".
  • Finalize the transaction. You are now done. Thank you.

    In order to use PayPal eCheck you will need to be "Verified" by PayPal. This means that PayPal will have to "verify" that your bank account does in fact exist. This will take some time if you have not already done so.
    Please be sure to "Verify" your bank account before you try to use PayPal's eCheck feature.

    Gift Certificates We accept any L&R Hartley Gift Certificates as full or part payment on any purchase. To purchase an L&R Hartley gift voucher, click [HERE].
    To redeem an L&R Hartley gift voucher, Visit L&R Hartley Merchandising. Shop and find an item you want to purchase.
    Select PayPal as your payment option. Log in to your account. You must have or register for a PayPal account to redeem your gift voucher.
    (To register, click Sign Up now . Registering is confidential and free.)
    When prompted, enter your gift voucher redemption code and follow the final steps to redeem your Gift Voucher. Printed Merchant Gift Vouchers are transferable if they do not include a recipient email address.
    For security and verification purposes, you may be required to verify your identity using a credit card. Multiple gift vouchers can be redeemed on a single purchase if they are in the same currency. Unused balances may be applied to other purchases.
    Gift Vouchers do not expire and do not accrue maintenance fees. Neither L&R Hartley nor PayPal are responsible for lost or stolen gift vouchers.

    Overseas cheques incur an additional fee If you want to pay by cheque please make it payable to L&R Hartley. Send orders with payment to L&R Hartley, P O Box 1471 (477 Tumbulgum Rd) Murwillumbah New South Wales Australia 2484.
    (Note: we are unable to accept international cheques (checks) unless you include an additional $15.00 to cover our bank's exchange fee and bear in mind that our bank holds international cheques for a month before commencing to process them, so it may take as much as 6-10 weeks before we receive payment and then process your order — This is why we recommend PayPal®.)

    Payment can also be made via Western Union® Money Transfer (Payable to Lionel Hartley, P O Box 1471, Murwillumbah, NSW, Australia, 2484) Note: This a money transfer not a money order.
    You can find an Western Union® Agent location in a variety of places. Supermarkets, grocery stores, and cheque (check) cashers are just a few examples. In some countries, Agent locations may be in banks, travel agencies, post offices, airports, and currency exchange offices. So, wherever you are there’s probably an Agent location near you.

  • STEP 1: Complete the form (ask for Money Transfer, not Money Order) >> Fill out the required form. Then, simply show the Agent clerk appropriate identification, if requested, (and a Western Union® Gold Card, if you have one).
  • STEP 2: Present Payment >> Give the Agent clerk the form, cash, (or your debit card where accepted), and sign the payment receipt.
  • STEP 3: Get Your Receipt >> Your receipt will have the MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) that will allow you to track the status of your money transfer over the phone or online. We will send you Our Receipt via email when we have received the money.

    Our layby terms are two months, with a 20% deposit.
    Unless a time extension is requested and approved, if the layby is not completed by the end of the two-month period the layby will be deleted, the 20% deposit forfeited and any difference refunded in the form of a voucher.

    Please ensure that the product is in "as new" condition, and we will be happy to exchange the product for another or a credit voucher for the same amount (excluding Postage & Handling).
    Refunds will be applied if an indent order is cancelled prior to despatch, otherwise the previous statement applies.
    Custom made goods (e.g. promotional items) will need to be paid for even if the order is cancelled, however if the item/s have not been sent, then postage and handling charges will be refunded and the items appropriately disposed of.
    All refunds will be in the form of a credit voucher applied to your account for future purchases.
    Please note in advance, that we do not provide any refunds in cash. We only provide exchange items or credit vouchers.

    When there are no new charges or credits on your account and the amount outstanding is less than $5.00, we may choose not to issue you with a monthly bill.
    To help the environment and make our billing easier for you, L&R Hartley suppresses bills for accounts that have no new charges or credits and are for relatively small amounts. You may, however receive a reminder from time to time for outstanding amounts.
    You may also be charged interest charges if bills are not paid within a reasonable time.
    Bill reminders and accounts are usually processed on the 20th. of the month and may be computer generated.

    If you have an overdue account of MORE THAN 90 days we may choose to have your name posted on our publically listed Naming and Shaming banner (see below).
    This appears simultaneously on a number of different websites on the www and is updated by computer. Your name can be removed simply by making a payment or part payment.
    If a part payment is made and nothing further is paid within 29 days, your name may appear on the list again.

    Please allow for PP&H (Local, national and international postage and handling): Orders up to $20 please add $10.00; Orders $21 to $50 please add $15.00; Orders $51 to $100 please add $20.00; Orders $101 to $300 please add $25.00 and Orders over $300 freight free.
    Payment to be in Australian Dollars please (If you use PayPal most currencies are converted automatically) .
    Overseas cheques (checks), please include an additional $15.00 to cover a bank exchange fee. The cheapest way to pay from overseas is by Credit Card using PayPal® either from a direct link from our website or by requesting an interactive PayPal® invoice via email)

    After your payment has been processed by our bank, the payment will be deemed to be received and we may issued you with a receipt via email.
    We have a policy that receipts are only issued by email, however if you require a signed and printed letterhead receipt, please print out your email receipt (when it arrives) and send it with your request and a stamped, addressed envelope, to L&R Hartley, PO Box 1471, Murwillumbah, NSW Australia, 2484.

    If paying by cheque (check) or Australian money order, please be sure that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover the payment as our bank does not re-process rejected items and any default on your part will incur penalties and/or sanctions.
    Note also that for overseas transactions, clearance may take up to 30 days.
